FOR OVER 95 YEARS!
The Point Pleasant Fire Company #1 was started in 1924 by a group of concerned citizens following a fire that destroyed the store of Daniel Grim in Point Pleasant, PA. The closest fire companies at the time were Stockton, NJ; New Hope/Lambertville; and Doylestown PA. After the loss of the store, it was obvious the community needed a more local effort for fire protection.
The all volunteer fire company has been serving the community for over 95 years providing fire, marine, vehicle and cliff/high angle rescues in Plumstead, Solebury and Tinicum Townships. Additionally, when needed, the Company provides assistance to sister stations in the surrounding areas in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
